Angelina Jolie in Time Magazine

Time Magazine has a great article up about Angelina Jolie and her latest adoption. There’s not a whole lot in there that’s news to us but it’s still a good read. They do have some background info on Pax’s life to date.

It mentions how Pax was only one month old when he was abandoned by his mother at a hospital in Ho Chi Minh City, leaving after his birth. For 30 days, the hospital put up notices and searched for his mother, then they placed him in the orphanage while police still attempted to find his birth parents.

Angelina entered the picture, applying through an international adoption agency to Vietnam, searching for a healthy boy between the ages of 3 and 5 - it turns out Pax was the one and only boy at that orphanage who fit the request, because although there were 31 other boys within that age range they were either unhealthy or they still had relatives (presumably they would have been put in the orphanage due to hard times in the hopes that they could return to their family some day). The article says that Vietnam’s national adoption director had ten files for boys for Angie’s request, from various orphanages.

Apparently only 30% of the children at Tam Binh actually get placed; in fact of all the children in the photo from the orphanage, only Pax was set for adoption.

Pax is off for a better life but he will be very missed by Bui Thi Bach Tuyen, his primary caregiver at the orphanage for the past 18 months. She was quoted.

She said, however, she wasn’t worried about how he will adjust to a new style of food in America because he already eats some Western foods like yogurt and spaghetti.

For the first three years, according to Vietnam’s adoption laws, Angie will have to send reports every six months to keep them up to date on his physical health, mental development, and his general life such as hobbies.

Ho Thi Kim Thoa who helps run the orphanage said this about Angelina Jolie.

Bridget Moynahan Talks About her Pregnancy

It’s tough to impress Martha Stewart, but pregnant actress Bridget Moynahan did just that.

“Now wouldn’t you like to look like that?” Stewart asked her studio audience while taping an interview with Moynahan set to air on Monday. “What month are you in?”

“This week [it’ll be] five months,” said the Six Degrees actress, 35, who announced in February that she’s expecting her first child with her ex-boyfriend, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady.

“Five months pregnant!” Stewart said. “Are you excited about being a mom?”

“I am. I’m a little nervous, ’cause I haven’t done it before,” said Moynahan. “But, you know, I have little nephews, and it’s always nice to spend time with them, especially around the holidays.”

Brady and Moynahan split late last year after three years together, but a spokesperson for the football star said last month: “Tom and his family are excited about the pregnancy.”

And a friend of Moynahan’s said that the actress is “so excited about the pregnancy – she knows she’ll be a great mom.”

Wear same clothes but not underwears: Cameron Diaz

Who says you cannot wear the same clothes for four days straight? Actress Cameron Diaz's new fashion philosophy tells you that the concept is archaic.

The 'Charlie's Angels' insisted that her mantra was to wear her clothes for days on an end, after which she discards them.

"I have a new philosophy. I always wear whatever I'm wearing, the same outfit, for four days, and then I never wear it again," Femalefirst quoted her as saying.

The 34 year old American star, who recently split with boyfriend of three-years Justin Timberlake, also revealed that she never used her celebrity status to get free clothes from fashion designers and big labels.

Although buying clothes herself does clog Diaz's routine a bit, she won't have it any other way.

"I actually buy my own clothes. It's kind of a drag," she said.

However, Diaz who has been partying with friend Drew Berrymore ever since her split, insists that her fashion philosophy does not apply to her underwear.

"I do change my underwear though," she added.

DNA test ordered for Anna Nicole Smith's baby

NASSAU, Bahamas (AP) -- A Bahamian judge ordered a DNA test Tuesday on Anna Nicole Smith's infant daughter to identify the girl's father, an attorney for the baby's grandmother said.

The result could end a bitter custody feud sparked by the death of the former reality TV star last month.

Larry Birkhead, an ex-boyfriend of the Playboy playmate who asked the judge to order the test on 6-month-old Dannielynn, pumped his fists in the air and jumped up and down as he emerged from the private court hearing.

"It's been a good day in court for me," he told reporters. Asked if he thought he would see the girl soon, he only smiled and winked.

Deborah Rose, an attorney for Smith's mother, Virgie Arthur, confirmed that the judge ordered the test but she and others who attended the hearing declined to describe the proceedings.

Authorities left the building after the hearing and could not immediately be reached for comment.

Smith's most recent companion, Howard K. Stern, who is listed as the father on the girl's birth certificate, left the courthouse in a black sport utility vehicle as Birkhead greeted a crowd of cheering tourists.

Smith, 39, died February 8 after collapsing in a Florida hotel. Authorities have not disclosed the cause.

Stern has been caring for the girl in the gated, waterfront home where he lived with Smith in the months before she died. The Bahamian courts have ordered Stern not to leave the country with the girl before a custody ruling.

Arthur wants to take Dannielynn from Stern, arguing she could provide a more stable home. She did not speak as she exited the courthouse and left in a white limousine.

The girl, Dannielynn Hope Marshall Stern, could inherit millions from the estate of Smith's late husband, Texas oil tycoon J. Howard Marshall II. Smith had been fighting his family over his estimated $500 million fortune since his death in 1995.

Frederic von Anhalt, the husband of Zsa Zsa Gabor, also says he may be Dannielynn's father. Last month, he also filed legal documents seeking a DNA test to determine if he is the father.
