Madonna is a "natural" filmmaker.
Abbie Cornish - who stars the singer's new directorial effort 'W.E.', about the story of Britain's King Edward VIII and his American wife Wallis Simpson - confesses she was great to work with because she really "loves" learning and was "very well read".
She revealed: "Madonna is natural director. It's in her nature. She's a Leo and she really represents the Leos very well.
"She's a very smart woman, very well read. She really absorbs a lot about whatever she's involved in.

"I think she really loves learning. It was interesting to see her evolve throughout the filmmaking process. She's such a cool woman."
Abbie, who plays Wally Winthrop in the two-tier story taking place over separate timelines, also reveals Madonna's 14-year-old daughter Lourdes portrays a younger version of her character in the movie.
She added to MTV.com: "She actually plays a younger version of my character. She's a super-cute, younger version of my character."
Music producer William Orbit - who has provided two songs for the score of the movie - recently claimed the movie was Oscar-worthy and could see Madonna land a nomination for Best Director at the Academy Awards next year.
He said: "It's definitely Oscar-worthy and I'm not just saying that. I wouldn't comment on her past acting abilities so you know by me saying what I have that it's really a great film. I definitely think Madonna could be up for an Oscar for Best Director."
Amanda Seyfried refuses to give herself time off in between movies - because she has to distract herself from the "heartbreak" of leaving behind the bonds she's made on set.
The actress has been involved in nine film projects since 2009, and threw herself into shooting a new movie, titled Now, just days after wrapping upcoming blockbuster Red Riding Hood.
And she admits the pain of breaking away from pals she makes when filming forces her to quickly begin shooting her next project.
Seyfried tells Britain's Marie Claire, "Because you're afraid of having time alone, you want to distract yourself from the heartbreak of one relationship.
"That's why I go from movie to movie, it seems, because I want to distract myself from feeling really sad and having to disconnect from a family I've created.
"I'll just work right away. I literally left Vancouver and started (a) new project, Now, a week later."
Seyfried is back on the big screen later this year as she takes on the lead role in Catherine Hardwicke's version of Red Riding Hood.

Singer Beyonce, who recently was in the spotlight for sporting skin that was paler than usual, was photographed wearing black face make-up for an African inspired magazine shoot. Beyonce, 29, took inspiration from African culture and wore head wraps as well as tribal-style clothing and accessories for the shoot for French fashion magazine L’Officiel Paris’ 90th-anniversary issue.
L’Officiel has said in a statement that Beyonce was “paying homage to African queens” and as a “return to her African roots, as you can see on the picture, on which her face was voluntarily darkened”. “As for the artistic make-up, the inspiration came from several African rituals during which paint is used on the face,” the Daily Mail quoted the magazine as saying.
“We find the images beautiful and inspiring. The designs are all reflective of the African influence on fashion this season. Miss Knowles poses with royal allure. A queen, a goddess, Beyonce is a bombshell beauty with a divine voice,” it added.
Amanda Seyfried pairs her Nina Ricci dress and shoes with a Roshi belt in this sexy new spread for the March 2011 issue of Interview Magazine, on stands this week.
The 25-year-old actress is interviewed by her Now co-star Justin Timberlake. Here are some excerpts:
On working with brilliant people:
AS: I’m constantly attracted to people who are too smart for their own good and who have it all together, because I can’t relate to that, so I can just kind of jump on their train.
JT: And milk their genius for all you can.
On the decision to go into the arts:
AS: “I didn’t really go into the arts for any specific reason. It was just to find a vessel for all of my energy. And also because I’m not good at anything else. I’m just really not equipped for, say, academics or sports.”
On giving up control of your world as an actor and musician:
JT: “I actually find it liberating to give up control. It’s nice for me. What’s been more of a battle for me through- out the process of moving into acting is that I feel like I have to keep reassuring people that I’m not an a–hole. There is a stigma that comes from being on stage and being a musician… Whatever you do as a musician, no matter how good it is, somebody somewhere is going to s–t on it. You put your heart on your sleeve, and what will happen will happen. But it’s like that for any artist. You do a painting, you take a photograph, it’s the same. That’s how artistry works.”Tags:

Pop diva Lady Gaga has sparked more controversy saying that she stays slim by following a "drunk diet".
The 'Paparazzi' hitmaker, who has always maintained a slim figure, insisted she would never cut out alcohol in a bid to lose weight.
The 24-year-old singer admitted that her slender frame is down to exercise and her boyfriend Luc Carl's "drunk diet", which saw him lose 40 pounds while still partying hard, reported Contactmusic.
"I am on the drunk diet. I live my life as I want to, and creatively. I like to drink whiskey and stuff while I am working," she said.
Even though she is drunk, Gaga never misses out on her work-out and yoga sessions.
"The deal is, I've got to work out every day, and I work out hungover if I am hungover. And it's about the cross-training and keeping yourself inspired. I have to say, I do a ton of yoga," said Gaga.
Carl is currently working on a book entitled 'The Drunk Diet', about his non-traditional weight loss method.
Kate Moss is never without a trailing controversy behind her – the supermodel recently entered a London sex shop, drunk, and after announcing to the clerk that she was “so horny”, proceeded to buy seven sex toys before sniffing some poppers.
Despite rumours that she was going to cut back on alcohol and partying, the supermodel was still living up to her notorious reputation yesterday.
After getting blind drunk with several girlfriends, Kate stumbled into a sex shop in London's Soho where she reportedly demanded a different toy for each day of the week and bought seven mini vibrators.
“She started squirting strawberry-flavour lube all over the place and playing with a big black sex toy. She was hitting the side of her face with it. Then she put her mouth over it, simulating oral sex, and rubbed it up and down after smothering it with lube,” the Daily Telegraph quoted an onlooker as telling News of The World.
Kate then proceeded to sniff some poppers before passing out on the floor and then repeating the process after regaining consciousness.
