Canadian singer Nelly Furtado is calling on Playboy boss Hugh Hefner to offer her a big money deal to pose naked on her 40th birthday.
The 'Promiscuous' singer said she was offered $500,000 early on in her career to pose nude for Playboy, but she turned it down, concerned it would ruin her musical career.
"The magazine was even prepared to offer me $500,000, (but) I didn't want Playboy on my resume at the age of 22."
Furtado, currently 30, added that she's now much more confident with her body and if Hugh Hefner approached her again when she's 40, she'd be keen to do it.
"If they ask when I'm 40, I'll probably say yes!" Nelly said.
Nelly Furtado had a breakdown when she first became famous.
The 'Maneater' singer admits she initially struggled to cope with the pressures of fame and would spend a great deal of time alone, even though it seemed she was enjoying her life.
She said: "Fame took me by surprise and I ended up having a breakdown. It was too much too soon. After two years of intense touring and partying I'd spend hours alone in my LA home, just staring at the floor. I felt like a fraud, believing that people liked me for my image and not my music."
There are times when I long to be a hermit living in a cottage. I often crave that sort of solitude. But having a husband and a daughter tends to get in the way of that.
Although she has recovered, Nelly - who is married to sound engineer Demacio Castellon and has a six-year-old daughter from a previous relationship - admits she would like to spend more time by herself but her lifestyle doesn't allow it.
She told Britain's Live! magazine: "There are times when I long to be a hermit living in a cottage. I often crave that sort of solitude. But having a husband and a daughter tends to get in the way of that."
Nelly Furtado is reportedly pregnant with her second child.
The Promiscuous singer is said to be thrilled after learning she is expecting a baby with her sound engineer fiancé Demacio Castellon, but is trying to keep it a secret.
A source close to the singer told America's Star magazine: "She's not very far along yet, so she's trying to keep the pregnancy under wraps."
However, a representative for Nelly - who already has a four-year-old daughter with ex-partner DJ Jasper Gahunia - insisted: "She is not pregnant."
Nelly recently revealed she once turned down a $500,000 offer to pose nude in Playboy.
The star admitted she was flattered when Playboy's boss Hugh Hefner asked her, but decided to keep her clothes on so her future lovers would have something to look forward to.
She said: "It was tempting. It almost plays on your vanity. But I like to save a little bit for the bedroom.
"It's something to be preserved, a little bit for yourself. But that's not to say that I would never do it. As a pop star, people would love to see you naked every day."
