Singer Lily Allen had plans to open a fancy dress shop before she settled for a vintage store.
The "Not Fair" singer, currently expecting her first child, recently opened a vintage clothing store with sister Sarah Owens, reports contactmusic.com.
"When I got pregnant, I decided to wind down a bit. So Sarah and I thought it would be a good moment to open the shop we'd been thinking of doing for years. Originally, it was going to be a fancy dress shop but because of our passion for vintage clothing, we thought this would work better," said Allen.
She says the decision to open a high-quality vintage store came after she saw many girls dressed like her.
"One of my 'light bulb' moments came when I went to a Christmas party and five people had the same high street dress on as I had. Plus the quality doesn't compare," she said

Sex and the City star Kim Cattrall has opened up about her sexual relationships and how she thought that sex would lead to love, but it never did. Cattrall, 54, revealed how she lost her virginity at 15 and was so disappointed by the experience that she did not expect it to be any better later.
“It is important to realise how important love is. I separated love from sex. Or just thought sex would lead to love. It did not, of course,” the Sun quoted her as saying. “Love gives you a chance to feel at ease and be prepared to try things. You cannot be so much at ease with someone you don’t really know. I would constantly make excuses for bad sexual experiences.”
“I wish I had not made an orgasm my only goal. It is more about all-round sexual fulfilment. I would advise girls not to lose confidence about their sex life. I had convinced myself that I was not sexual - and that sex was not that important,” she added.
She also said that talking is very vital and that she used to protect herself by limiting how much she felt, and added that she now knows not to be afraid to let go.

Hollywood actress Christina Ricci doesn't like to look at herself in a mirror because of the body issues she suffered as a younger actress.
The "Sleepy Hollow" star, who battled eating disorder anorexia after she was catapulted to fame, couldn't stand seeing herself in a mirror because she had such low self-esteem about her looks and figure, reports celebrifi.com.
"For years, I hated myself. I covered the mirrors in my house. I literally couldn't have a mirror in my room," said Ricci, who shot to fame when she was just 10 after starring in "Mermaids" alongside Cher, Winona Ryder and Bob Hoskins.
Even though she has got over her body issues, 30-year-old Ricci still doesn't like to see her reflection in a mirror.
"I still can't sit in a restaurant or someplace where I can catch my reflection. I get so paranoid," she said.
One role that helped her deal with her body hang-ups was her part in 2007 film "Black Snake Moan" - in which she starred opposite Samuel L. Jackson and had to appear for most of the movie in only her underwear.
"For that, I needed to lose any self-consciousness because I feel sometimes you can see that in a nude scene," she said.
